Promote library events, showcase new resources, and keep your students and staff informed with ease.
Watch the video to see how you can use the News Pages to increase engagement with your school library!
Are you using the news pages in Oliver?
News pages allow you to customise the library home page to communicate with students and staff, promote the library and events, and showcase resources.
Do you have some new resources you want to promote?
Set up a slider to show them off to anyone that logs in to your Oliver system. Choose one of the standard options, use search restrictions or link a reading list.
Want to feature different news pages for different groups?
News pages can be allocated by branch or by specifying the students, ensuring your students see the content specific to them.
Is there an event coming up?
The Oliver library news pages are the perfect place to let your users know what’s happening and get them engaged with the library. From the community portal, you can access a bank of ready-made news pages that you can upload into your Oliver system and use as they are or customise them to suit your individual needs.
The news pages are fully customisable, simply choose from the information box dropdown what kind of content block you wish to create, fill in the details and you’re away.
Some examples include inserting image and text, pdf files and embedding YouTube videos or even Google Maps! Edit the layout and sizes of information boxes by dragging and dropping to the desired position.
With Oliver, connecting with your students and getting the most out of your school library could not be easier.
